MY DENTIST TO INVEST £1.8M IN NEW WINSFORD PRACTICE
The UK’s largest dentistry provider, {my}dentist, has announced that it is to move its two practices in Winsford into one purpose built, brand new dental practice.
{my}dentist is investing £1.8m into the new dental practice which will be located in Winsford Cross Shopping Centre and will open on 9 May 2022.
The move to the modern, larger premises means that the number of surgeries available has increased from eight to 12, all on the ground floor to improve accessibility and each with all new dental chairs and equipment. Patients will benefit from the central location with easy access via public transport or car with two hours free parking in the centre.
All of the clinicians and staff from the Queens Parade and High Street practices will move to the new premises and a further six jobs have been created for dental nurses, a receptionist and treatment co-ordinator.
The practice is accepting new patients under {my}options, {my}dentist’s affordable way to access dentistry. Under {my}options, patients can access private check-ups, essential dental treatments and cosmetic dental treatments at affordable prices with check-ups costing just £39.
A full range of dental treatments are on offer at the practice including teeth whitening, teeth straightening for adults and children, hygiene appointments, smile makeovers, dental implants, endodontics and facial aesthetics.
Vicky Hampson, {my}dentist area development manager, said: “We wanted to bring our patients in Winsford a modern and fresh new dental practice that meets their needs now and in the future.
“Our team has been working hard on the new practice and we’re looking forward to opening the doors. With more surgeries we will have more appointments for our existing patients and beyond this, we know that accessing dental care in this region is difficult which is why we have introduced {my}options, an affordable way to access a dentist when you need one.”
Sue Lerczak in the Centre Management team at Winsford Cross said: “The new dental practice is going to be a real asset to the town, with more availability and better facilities for local people. The investment from {my}dentist is one of the many improvements we’ll see at Winsford Cross over the next 12 months.”
Councillor Richard Beacham, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Growth, Economy and Regeneration at Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “Local residents recognise that as Winsford grows, access to local services needs to increase too. In addition, keeping services like this in town centres will help to increase footfall, so {my}dentist’s decision to invest in Winsford is good news for local retailers.
“This latest investment means {my}dentist will join other businesses who are investing in Winsford’s town centre, all following planning approval for the Council’s major new regeneration programme. With work starting later this year, it is really something to smile about.”
{my}dentist has written to patients of its Queens Parade and High Street practices to advise them that all pre-booked appointments will continue at {my}dentist at the Winsford Cross Shopping Centre from 9 May 2022.
