Meet your heroes at Winsford Cross this Summer!

  • Meet Superman and Wonderwoman
  • Make your own cape and mask
  • Share you superhero pictures for a chance to win

This summer Winsford Cross Shopping Centre is hosting a superhero themed weekend that promises to be out of this world!  Superman and Wonderwoman are swooping into town to meet local children who will be able to design their own superheroes in the free crafting sessions.

On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August, little ones can visit the superhero headquarters inside Winsford Cross, where they can make their own personalised cape and mask to take home.  The drop-in crafting sessions will take place each day between 11am – 3pm.

On Saturday 6th August only, special guests Superman and Wonderwoman will fly in  looking for new sidekicks to help them save the world.  They’ll be walking around the shopping centre, fist bumping fans and posing for photos.

After the weekend families can take part in the Superhero search by picking up an activity sheet from The Works in Winsford Cross and then going in search to save the superheroes who are hiding in the shop windows around the centre.

People are encouraged to share their #SuperWinsfordSummer photos on social media, tagging Winsford Cross. The best photograph will win a £50 gift card for a Winsford Cross  store of their choice!

Sue Lerczak in the Centre Management team at Winsford Cross said: “Everyone loves superheroes and we’re bringing two of the best to Winsford this summer.  We want to inspire youngsters to get creative and become their own hero – a positive message for the summer holidays, which we hope will be lots of fun too!”

Councillor Louise Gittins, leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “There will be lots of exciting changes happening in Winsford town centre over the next year as we rebuild it and make it an even better place for everyone. We would love to see more public entertainment events held there and I am sure families will enjoy this themed weekend of fun.”
