Winsford Cross Shopping Centre is bringing some prehistoric family fun to the town with a dino themed weekend that promises to be totally roarsome!
The free event on Saturday 21st August will feature a 5.5m animatronic Triceratops ironically named Tiny, who will walk around the shopping centre, allowing children to get up close to this friendly herbivore. Tiny is also bringing his baby dino puppet friends to entertain visitors.
On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August children can visit the dino compound at Winsford Cross, where the dino crew will help them to make dino sand fossils and create their very dino themed pencil case to take home.
Activities will run from 11am – 4pm on both days and will take place inside the mall area at Winsford Cross. Tiny and his friends will walk around the centre, visitors will be able to find them in Fountain square as well as in the covered area of the mall.
People are being encouraged to share their Roarsome Weekend photographs on social media using #RoarsomeWinsford, the best photograph will win a £100 gift card for a Winsford store of their choice.
Jeff Jackson, Centre Manager at Winsford Cross said: “Our Roarsome Weekend promises to bring lots of fun for children and dino fans of all ages. After the last 18 months it’s great to be planning something for local families to enjoy, however we will have safety measures in place so that people can relax and make the most of this epic event while feeling safe.”
